Additional Details
Working in our local community for almost 37 years, our organisation aims to promote the health, mental and emotional wellbeing of unpaid adult carers in Redditch. Carers Careline offer a range of services to Engage, Enrich, Empower and Enable carers and 'life after' carers including regular pro-active telephone support calls, texts, emails and WhatsApp group, a drop-in facility, monthly support groups, bi-monthly events, a funded counselling service, a monthly bereavement support group and free 1-2 night respite breaks in a number of hotels in the UK through our partnership with Carefree. We are local, accessible and available to our local community and the carers within it. We aim to: Reduce the sense of isolation experienced by many carers. Provide carers with a range of support services relevant to their needs including carer specific help, information and support underpinned by our Telephone Support, Form Filling, Drop-In and Carers Connect WhatsApp services and through our monthly newsletter. Make regular contact with carers who have registered for our Telephone Support Service either by telephone, email or text, allowing for early intervention with difficult situations to ensure carers are less likely to reach crisis point. Give carers the opportunity to take a break from their caring role and the confidence to meet others through events, groups, and breaks. Ensure carers are given support and help to maintain and improve their mental health and emotional wellbeing Offer immediate referral for fully funded counselling by qualified counsellors. Support the full life cycle of a carer by continuing to support Life After Carers who find they have lost their identity, no longer being a carer, and are grieving after loss. Please Note: Our Bereavement Group is open to anyone in the local community. To use any of our other services you must be registered with us.
